How I research

Every casino, bonus, and comparison page on WagerScope follows the same three-step pipeline:

1. Test deposit with real funds. I make a real deposit on the operator using my own money and the payment rail typical for the target market — NGN bank or OPay for Nigeria, M-Pesa for Kenya, USDT TRC-20 for crypto-native operators. Screenshots and timestamps are kept in an internal log.
2. Math validation against published terms only. Wagering requirement, RTP, max-bet rule, expiry window, and game contribution tiers are all parsed from the operator's own published T&C pages — never from marketing copy or affiliate-network briefs. The Wagering Calculator and Keep Rate engine on this site use the same parsed inputs.
3. Test claim and withdrawal where applicable. I attempt to clear the bonus, attempt the withdrawal, and document timing. When a withdrawal fails or times out, I write that into the review honestly.

• Official operator T&C pages (linked from each casino review)
• FSGRN (Federation of State Gaming Regulators of Nigeria) — Nigeria state-level operator licensing register and Universal Reciprocity Certificate framework (since the May 2025 Subnational Reciprocity Licensing Framework). NLRC (National Lottery Regulatory Commission) is retained for Federal Capital Territory operations only, following the Supreme Court's 22 November 2024 ruling.
• GRAK (Gambling Regulatory Authority of Kenya, successor to BCLB under the Gambling Control Act 2025) — Kenya operator licensing register
• Operator affiliate communications (May 2026 promo emails, scheduled bonus updates) — archived verbatim with verification dates in this repo's content/operator-updates/ folder
• schema.org and Google Search Central for structured-data implementations
• Player-reported friction on Nairaland and Reddit when verifying withdrawal-timing claims (cited per claim)

How often I update

Every page on WagerScope has a published date and a last-verified date visible on-page. The re-verification cadence:

• Bonus T&Cs: verified weekly via a scheduled review (Monday) — caught changes are surfaced in the next republication of the affected page.
• Regulatory framework (FSGRN URC + state-level licensing post-Supreme-Court-22/11/2024, NLRC limited to FCT, GRAK, Kenya Finance Act 2026, Nigeria SEC VASP rules): reviewed quarterly minimum, sooner on operator notification or published regulatory action.
• Casino reviews (deposit + withdrawal flow): re-tested when terms change, when I see a player-reported withdrawal anomaly, or quarterly minimum.

Republication triggers: bonus terms change, withdrawal-time change confirmed via a fresh test, ownership or licensing change, regulatory action against the operator. The page's dateModified is updated and a brief "What changed" note is added when the change is material.

Conflicts of interest

Affiliate relationships. WagerScope earns affiliate commissions on player signups and deposits made through some links on this site. Rates vary by operator (typically 15–35% revenue share), and actual monthly revenue can be lower or even negative in months when players win big. Paid content policy. I never accept paid content placement. The affiliate revshare disclosed above is the only commercial relationship between WagerScope and any covered operator.

Player-account disclosure. I currently maintain real-money player accounts on the casinos I review. Active player accounts: 1xBet, BC.Game. Having my own money on these platforms means I'm reviewing actual UX, not screenshots — and I'm financially exposed if they fail to pay out, which sharpens my incentives to be honest about withdrawal friction.

Skip verdicts. WagerScope publishes "Skip" verdicts on bonus offers from operators it earns commission from when the math doesn't favour the player. The disclosure on each casino page makes this explicit.

Corrections process

If something on this site is wrong — a math error, an outdated T&C reference, a regulatory claim that misstates current rules, a withdrawal-time number that no longer holds — write to me at [email protected].

When a correction is accepted:

• The page is updated with the corrected information
• A visible "Updated" timestamp is added
• For material changes, a brief "What changed" note describes the prior claim and the correction
• dateModified in structured data is bumped accordingly
